Iranian politician who opposed to the regim of Ayatollah Khomeini. Later arrested and stripped of his religious credentials. Ball pen signature on back of postcard sized photo. All text written in Persian. Comes with typed letter from S.M.A Shabbar, dated 13 Janyari 1980. "Dear Mr Lars Vestlund, H.H. Ayatullah Shariatmadri sends here by his photograph with autograph for you. On the back of the photograph he has written in Persian which means: Mr Lars Vestlund, I went through your letter.
