Hardbound 4:o in publisher's blind stamped and gilt illustrated cloth binding (cartonnage) with a Chinese man in gilt on front panel and a warrior in gilt on rear panel. Spine gilt lettered and decorated. All edges gilt. No dust jacket, as issued. A nice binding with professional repairs at head and foot of spine. The yellow end papers with spotted margins, a passage in the beginning slightly foxed, else a clean copy.
