Hardbound 4:o in a contemporary half leather binding. Spine gilt decorated and lettered. Marbled boards and green edges. Slight wear on spine and corners and slightly rubbed boards. Inner hinges reinforced. A nice, typical 19th Century binding. Title-page with a vertical fold. Some pages with s.c. offsetting from opposite page, but never heavy. Very few, occasional spots. One plate with a round spot ca. 25 x 25 mm. Else fine plats. VIII, LII, 392 p. , (II) + 80 lithographed plates coloured by hand. Numerous specimens on each plate.
